Community Health and Wellbeing Officer
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Salary: £19,647.00 to £21,615 (FTE) per annum – depending on skills and experience
Responsible to: Senior Horticulturalist or as advised

If so, we would welcome your application. We are looking for a full time, enthusiastic and highly motivated Community Health and Wellbeing Officer to join our team.
The ideal candidate is likely to have relevant experience of supporting those who experience ongoing or anticipated bereavement. They will have experience in supporting individuals to overcome barriers associated with this through promoting positive wellbeing and mental health.
The candidate will also require access to their own transport as this post is working across the Birmingham region.
Key responsibility and tasks:
- To provide person-centred wellbeing support to meet the needs of bereaved carers in their own home and in community settings.
- Complete wellbeing plans with carers as part of initial and ongoing assessment of needs, creating these together to support them day-to-day and towards independence/positive wellbeing, connecting carers to each other through peer support and signposting onto other specialist and carer support services as appropriate.
- To positively promote Compassionate Communities across Birmingham and the wider region and support people to engage in compassionate communities approaches, contributing to building an aspiring Compassionate City and region.

Employment and Skills Development Officer
Hours: 37 Hours per week

Responsible to: Employment and Skills Manager or as advised
Closing date: Friday 11th March 2022 at 12pm
- Can you demonstrate excellent employment support skills?
- Do you have a proven track record in supporting disabled or marginalised people into employment?
- Do you have experience of recording case work on digital and hard copy files to evidence participant journey of change?
- Are you organised and able to process information accurately and efficiently?
If so, we would welcome your application. We are looking for a full time enthusiastic hard working and highly motivated Employment and Skills development Officer to join our team.
The ideal candidate is likely to have relevant experience of supporting employability contracts and experience of working with disabled people or those furthest from the jobs market into employment by improving skills and confidence and through brokerage with employers.
Key responsibility and tasks:
- Supporting participants to develop CVs, job applications, job searches, interview skills; aiming to support individuals to move into paid employment.
- This role provides an opportunity to actively influence and support employers in the local community to change their attitudes towards employing disabled people or those with a health condition, and work with them to build a better understanding of disability and being Disability Confident.
Applicants will need excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills and be able to manage a range of tasks in outreach locations within Sandwell and in the local community.
